Golf's verdict: Should have been as big as Simple Minds or U2, but somehow never quite managed to make the step up. Great album.
Maire's verdict: The first two tracks are classics. Although the rest of the album doesn't maintain the pace it's still pretty damn good.

Golf's verdict: If you are in the right mood then this is a great listen, but it is pretty unrelenting. Dub bass, Lydon wailing, Keith Levene's guitar as close to fingernails on and blackboard. Let's just say it's not exactly chock-full of radio-friendly unit shifters.
Maire's verdict: (Potential) HIDDEN GEM! Although I know some PIL songs I hadn't listened to this album before. Golf knows me very well: before I started he said I'd love it as it was 'miserable'. He was right on both fronts. Bloody great.

Golf's verdict: Never heard of this fella. He's very good. Reminded me a bit of DJ Shadow in its eclectic mix of samples, but with some good rhymes added to the mix.
Maire's verdict: Why do rap albums have to be so long? Kind of interesting and definitely preferable to Kanye, but can't see me putting it on again.
