Golf's verdict: Unmistakably the work of Damon Albarn and almost up to the Blur and Gorillaz standard, just not quite. Features several of the old guard of late '70s London punk and dub movements.

Maire's verdict: Rather pleasant but merged into the background.

Golf's verdict: Not heard this in years. Rather unfairly dismissed as a bit of a singles band (in part because releases like Late in the Day and Sun Hits the Sky are so strong), this maintains the really high standard all the way through.

Maire's verdict: Not as irritating as I was expecting (high praise from me as I generally can't stand Supergrass).

Golf's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! Okay, it is a little long. And Kim Gordon has one of the worst voices in the history of rock (mercifully Thurston Moore handles most of the vocals), but this is like the Sgt. Pepper of US Alternative Rock Music and the opening track, 'Teenage Riot' is it's 'A Day In the Life'.

Maire's verdict: I thought this was great but not sure how accurate that is. I had to re-install Spotify and forgot to take off 'auto play'. Busy cooking so only realised what was happening when Pixies started playing. I'm going to assume I was really enjoying Sonic Youth...

Golf's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! Superbly simple garage-rock from across the ditch.

Maire's verdict: (Potential) HIDDEN GEM! Don't remember listening to this before. Thoroughly enjoyable.
