Golf's verdict: Having accidentally become hugely popular with the dance crowd as a result of a remix of 'Missing', from the previous album, the previously rather fey and folkie EBTG fully embrace trip-hop on this. The results are very fine. Still a great Sunday morning album, even if these days we tend to be getting up the same time we used to get in!

Maire's verdict: I'd heard a couple of the tracks but not the whole album before. I enjoyed it.

Golf's verdict: It seems strange nowadays that Rod Stewart did not even sing on all The Faces songs. Whilst Ronnie Lane is fine, he's no Rod. It's on 'Stay With Me' that this really comes together. The cover of 'Memphis, Tennnessee' is good too.

Maire's verdict: Didn't really hold my attention.

The Flamin' Groovies - Teenage Head (1971)

Side 1
  1. "High Flyin' Baby"
  2. "City Lights"
  3. "Have You Seen My Baby?" (Randy Newman)
  4. "Yesterday's Numbers"
Side 2

  1. "Teenage Head"
  2. "32-20" (Robert Johnson, new lyrics by Roy A. Loney)
  3. "Evil Hearted Ada" (Loney)
  4. "Doctor Boogie"
  5. "Whiskey Woman"

Golf's verdict: Not familiar with them and from one listen they sound like one decade's attempt to recycle the sounds of those that came immediately before (sort of like a Showaddywaddy). They end up sounding like an average club band being fronted by an overly refreshed karaoke singer.

Maire's verdict: Never heard of them before so had no idea what to expect. A fun listen.

Golf's verdict: Like buses, these Led Zeppelin albums. This one starts with the unimpeachable 'Immigrant Song' but cannot sustain the high standard. That's not a major criticism. If it had 10 as good as 'Immigrant Song' it would be the greatest album of all time. Instead it's my 3rd favourite Zep album.

Maire's verdict: I prefer Led Zeppelin IV but there are some good (and well-known) tracks on here such as 'Immigrant Song'.
