Golf's verdict: Famously unsuccessful in their lifetime, then became a touchstone for many an indie guitar band in the '80s and '90s. Nothing on this third album seems to be too ear catching though, the Velvet Underground cover being the most memorable (and superior to Nico's vocal in my opinion).
Maire's verdict: Wasn't that bothered.

Golf's verdict: We were lucky to see Solomon Burke back in the early Noughties, when he was enjoying a well deserved career renaissance. This sixties classic is full of great tunes that show off that extraordinary voice. If you only know him for Everybody Needs Somebody (from the Blues Brothers) then look him up, he's highly recommended.
Maire's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! Gorgeous voice and great songs. What more can you ask for?

Golf's verdict: A massively eclectic and hugely ambitious album that does not always work, but when it does it offers up some really enjoyable stuff. Highlights include ' Safesurfer', 'Beautiful Love' and 'Hung Up & Hanging Out to Dry'.
Maire's verdict: Pleasant enough listening but didn't really have that spark.
