Golf's verdict: Jazzy hip hop that reminded me (I am not expert remember) a bit of De La Soul. Macy Gray crops up somewhere. I liked it.
Maire's verdict: Pleasant enough as background music but nothing more than that.

Golf's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! Famously recorded on original 1960s analogue studio equipment (with, as Lee Mavers apparently put it, original genuine 1960s dust), this was never bettered by them. In fact, it was never followed up, Mavers' legendary perfectionism (and huge 'toking habit) putting paid to that.
Maire's verdict: I've danced to 'There She Goes' on numerous occasions but never listened to the album before. Blended into the background.

Golf's verdict: Unlike Mavers (see The La's, above), Peter and his friends Bob and Bunny had no problem being both prolific AND highly fond of the jazz cigarette. Everybody loves a bit of Bob and this comes pretty close to matching the vibe and quality of his previous bandmate.
Maire's verdict: Not my kind of music. I was bored.

Golf's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! You may well recognise 'Time of the Season', but otherwise this was breaking new ground for me and it was a thoroughly enjoyable slice of genuine late-60s British psychedelia, of the ilk of SF Sorrow (The Pretty Things) or The Moody Blues.
Maire's verdict: Never heard it before. I really enjoyed it.

Golf's verdict: Jesus, this was like listening to the incidental music of a 100 1970s American light romantic comedy TV shows back to back. That's not a good thing.
Maire's verdict: Yet more jazz *sigh*. Sounds dated too.
