Golf's verdict: Not as bad as I was expecting, but nothing to justify the Christ complex from my perspective. He's just a bit of a dick, isn't he?
Maire's verdict: I fucking hate Kenye* West's music. 'Nuff said.
*Golf edit: I left this typo in. I think he suits 'Ken'. I am going to call him Ken West from now on.

Golf's verdict: Kicks off with the inferior version of one of the best songs of all time. The Fun Boy Three version may take the upper hand but Jane Wiedlin and band still deliver a great version. Elsewhere this sounds - as one might expect - a bit like a prototype Bangles. Not a bad thing.
Maire's verdict: That was fun. Got a bit too excited when I thought 'How Much More' was a cover of Elvis's '(Marie's the Name of) His Latest Flame' - listen to it and you'll see!

Golf's verdict: I quite enjoyed this but it is a testament to my novice jazz appreciation status that when the album finished and Spotify generously offered up some John Coltrane to continue the mood, I could not tell the difference.
Maire's verdict: Nope, still not a jazz fan.

Golf's verdict: A little bit to fey and inconsequential for my taste, though Tracey does have an absolutely lovely voice. I keep meaning to read her book too (see here). It is supposed to be excellent.
Maire's verdict: Like her voice but found the album a bit boring.

Golf's verdict: A Koh-i-Noor Diamond Sized HIDDEN GEM! If you don't know this album or Faith No More then WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING WITH YOUR LIFE? Through bad timing and poor luck it took until 2012 before I finally saw FNM live. The band arrived, on to a stage strewn with about £10 000 worth of cut flowers, dressed like droogs from A Clockwork Orange and launched into a cover of Tom Jones' 'Delilah' (I've posted a clip below). What a gig. This was the record that broke them and features 10 astounding original rock tunes and the second best* cover version of War Pigs ever. Go buy it.
Maire's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! My new gym soundtrack. Loved it.
Faith No More, Hammersmith Apollo, 2012
*The best cover version of War Pigs is - of course - by the mighty Alice Donut (what do you mean, who the f*** are Alice Donut:
