Golf's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! Do you believe in serendipity ('fortunate happenstance')? We have recently started to re-watch the original Twin Peaks series (very enjoyable) in preparation for the new David Lynch-directed limited season return which premiered on NZ TV last night. This great album (chosen by random for playing today remember), made entirely from samples, closes with a line taken from the show, delivered by the Giant of the Red Room: "It's happening again..." Coincidence? Conspiracy? Something else? 😉
Maire's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! I really surprised myself by loving this. I may have to listen to it again to see if it was due to a lack of sleep.

Golf's verdict: Other than the title track, this was eminently forgettable.
Maire's verdict: He said it himself in 'Cheesy Rat Blues': he's "so corny".

Golf's verdict: Proper 'big band' style jazz, in the vein of Count Basie (and even reminding me of The Glenn Miller Orchestra at some point). I doubt I will ever be a huge fan of this genre, but my reaction to it is usually relatively positive. My wife on the other hand...
Maire's verdict: I keep being told I should appreciate / love jazz. There's obviously something wrong with me as still not seeing the attraction; in fact, it just winds me up.
