Golf's verdict: I can say with some confidence that this is the best album I have ever heard...featuring a man playing a clay jug. Roky Erickson (the jug player and singer) has led a vary interesting and occasionally tragic life. He's worth a Google and this album is worth a listen.
Maire's verdict: Okay, but nothing more than that.

Golf's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! Pretty sure that Beck has had a 100% Hidden Gem record on this challenge. His non-challenge albums (especially the recent 'Morning Phase') continue to demonstrate that he's one of the previously largely ignored artists that we've really come to love.
Maire's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! Beck has been a revelation. Loved this album.

Golf's verdict: Not too impressed by this. It sounds a bit repetitive and amateurish to be frank.
Maire's verdict: Another okay album but did nothing to really grab my attention.
Update: Had to listen to it a second time as Golf was late. I've reconsidered my opinion - it's shite.

Golf's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! Featuring the impeccable 'It's the End of the World as We Know It' and 'The One I Love', this is a real breakthrough album for REM. Showing clearly a love of British rock (hence a cover of Wire's "Strange") but now with a confident and clearly identifiable sound that they make their own.
Maire's verdict: I surprised myself by rather enjoying this album.
Update: Had to listen to this a second time as Golf was running late. I do believe it's a HIDDEN GEM! I know, I was shocked too.
