Golf's verdict: Really liked this. I was a major fan of Alternative Tentacles type hardcore back in the 80s and 90s (Dead Kennedys, Alice Donut, Nomeansno etc.) but only really knew Fugazi by name and reputation. Well worth a follow up listen. Apparently it's sold 2 million copies in the US, so I guess I must have missed out.
Maire's verdict: Merged into the background.

Golf's verdict: Perfectly pleasant, but not really for me this one.
Maire's verdict: I only really know her for 'From A Distance', which I disliked,so this was a pleasant surprise. Enjoyable country.

Golf's verdict: A proper slice of 'I done killed ma wife and my dawg's up and left me' honky-tonk country. I think pretty much all of these are about drinkin', wimmin', fightin' or doing time in chokey. The music's a bit one dimensional though and Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings do the jailbird thing better.
Maire's verdict: If you like traditional country music you'll enjoy this. I prefer others from the genre.
