Golf's verdict: Brimful was only a hit because of a much-energised Norman Cook remix. The orginal appears here and is very sedate by comparison. One hit wonders and nothing apparent on this to explain its inclusion on a 1001 vital albums list.
Maire's verdict: Hated 'Brimful of Asha' when it came out and that still holds true. Didn't like the rest of it very much either.

Golf's verdict: Given Maire's hatred of Kraftwerk it will be interesting to hear what she makes of this. The title track and a couple of others take the German electronica and make a new style of hip-hop with it. Genuinely genre-splicing and fantastic. Did not realise Renegades of Funk (known from Rage Against the Machine) originally appeared here either, so that was a pleasant surprise.
Maire's verdict: Didn't realise I knew his music until I started playing the album. Rather enjoyable.
