Golf's verdict: Music is a broad church and I am sure this stuff makes a lot of people very happy, just not me. Apparently as well as 'soul' (this is not soul) and 'r n' b' (it's not r n' b either) this one claims to be 'quiet storm', whatever that is. Fair to say I am probably not a quiet storm fan.
Maire's verdict: Why the hell is this on the list? Shite.

Golf's verdict: Genuinely intriguing and potentially a future favourite record. Maire is already convinced.
Maire's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! Another band I'd never heard of but this one is REALLY good. Listened twice and will be investigating further.

Golf's verdict: Actually rather arresting. This would have sounded genuinely different when it first came out. 47 years later, their one trick was definitely getting a bit old, so probably just as well they've called it a day.
Maire's verdict: Of course, there just had to be wizards! It is what it is - nothing offensive just quite boring.

Golf's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! 'No Other' (his mid-70s album) is possibly THE FIND of this challenge for me. This earlier effort is no match for it, but it's still a very pleasant country-rock listen, with a great version of Dylan's 'Tears of Rage'.
Maire's verdict: Nice enough but won't be rushing to listen again.
