Golf's verdict: It was at about this point (post 'It's A Sin') that I started to lose track of the Boys. This is a strong album though, as we have grown to expect from a band that initially looked to have all the makings of one hit wonders.
Maire's verdict: Beautiful with a dash of melancholy. Close to a Hidden Gem.

Golf's verdict: A difficult listen at the best of times, but we did this one on a road trip to the Coromandel last weekend. I remember listening to this and preferring The Dead Kennedys. Undoubtedly influential, but so are a lot of things that are not necessarily that pleasant.
Maire's verdict: Rubbish.

Golf's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! A genuinely new and exciting sounding band with a really striking front woman. One of those bands who only sound like themselves. Must be due another record soon...
Maire's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! What a wonderful record. Go and listen to it now.

Golf's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! Rock's greatest live album also serves as a handy whistle-stop tour of rock and roll and how it was adopted, then adapted and - ultimately and for a few years in the 60s and 70s - owned by the British Invasion bands. Featuring the best rhythm section of all - Moony and Entwhistle.
Maire's verdict: Felt like a covers album. I'm not a particular fan but this was okay.
