Golf's verdict: A more straight forward hip-hop record, it features Ghetto Music, The Way You Move and Tomb of the Boom amongst its highlights. It's clear from this record of the direction Big Boi prefers for the music is a little different to his musical partner's...
Maire's verdict: I wouldn't listen to a single song on this album again.

Golf's verdict: Extraordinarily eclectic and featuring one of the catchiest (and simple) pop tunes of the Noughties (Hey Ya!), I'd have put money on Andre 3000 becoming huge after this. He didn't, but this still sold millions of copies. Some of the links are a bit of a cringe, but Roses, Pink & Blue, She Lives in my Lap and Spread are all mighty fine.
Maire's verdict: Slight improvement: I'd listen to 'Hey Ya' again.

Golf's verdict: On which Black Francis/Frank Black exerts full control for the first time and the result is an amalgam of Surfer Rosa's Puerto Rican-tinged garage rock and the Doolittle's classic melodies, with an overlay of psychedelic surf. It's a really strong album, but - for me - Doolittle is still their finest acheivement.
Maire's verdict: Not my go-to but well worth a listen (or ten).
