Golf's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! The Muses were/are a vastly under-rated band. First saw them co-headlining with Pixies in the late '80s and unfortunately they kind of got lost in their shadow. Fans of intelligent, guitar-led indie-music should start here (and also check out Tanya Donelly's 'Belly' albums too, they are brilliant).

Máire's verdict: Thoroughly enjoyable.

Golf's verdict: Sub-par Metallica clone with hilarious lyrics that would happily grace the covers of many a teenage exercise book.

Máire's verdict: Your typical metal album.
