Golf's verdict: A production genius, but - except for 'I saw the light' this album does not do much for me at all.

Golf's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! A triple album that just skips by and is absolutely full of great songs and fantastic hooks. Only have 1 or 2 tracks per Beatles album must have made for quite a backlog come 1970.

Máire's verdict: HIDDEN GEM! A cracker of an album

Ali Farka Toure - Talking Timbuktu (1994)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talking_Timbuktu

Golf's verdict: Ry Cooder produces and guests on this and it is a really great mash-up of North African and American influences. I never used to have much time for 'World Music', but some of the stuff we have had on the challenge has really changed my perspective on it.

Máire's verdict: Far more enjoyable than I was expecting.
