Golf's verdict: Accepting the baton from his father, the Afrobeat goes on. I actually liked this one more than Fela's.
Máire's verdict: Not for me.

Golf's verdict: The sound and variety on this double album clearly show the two paths the band was about to follow, once Gabriel left to become a solo artist. The 'narrative' of the concept album might be a load of old tosh, but I enjoyed hearing about it. This also has some exquisite Steve Hackett guitar work to recommend it.
Máire's verdict: I revert to my original Genesis evaluation. ‘Selling England by the Pound’ was obviously a one-off.

Golf's verdict: I REALLY was not expecting to like this as much as I did. Pretty sure quite a few of these have cropped up on TV ads and as incidental music over the years and 'Bongolia' did make it onto the soundtrack to 'Baby Driver' this year, so quite timely.
Máire's verdict: A lot more enjoyable than I was anticipating.

Golf's verdict: The Title Music that Channel 4 always uses to denote Bollywood. Perfectly entertaining, but I would probably rather have watched the film.
Máire's verdict: I’m sure it works for Bollywood films but didn’t work for me.

Golf's verdict: Despite Mutt Lange's involvement, the production and songwriting on this are not a patch on Hysteria, which is probably why it sold about 10% of the copies.

Golf's verdict: Baaba Maal is definitely my favourite Senegalese artist of the Album Challenge. No question. Seriously though, I found plenty to like in this, despite not really being an aficionado of this sort of music.
Máire's verdict: Not a favourite.
